Kyanite has a hardness from 4.5 - 7 on the Mohs scale.
Stone Cares
Kyanite never needs cleansing, so do not get your crystal wet! Place your kyanite outdoors or on a sunny windowsill and let it absorb the natural light for about 30 minutes to cleanse and charge crystals.
