Sodalite

Sodalite

Geological Properties

Sodalite is classified as a member of the tectosilicate mineral group. Phosolites and nepheline syenites are typical igneous rocks that form this mineral. Sodalite's unique blue color results from the presence of mineral impurities, mainly sulfur and chlorine. Its distinctive white veins or patches are due to the inclusion of minerals like calcite. Sodalite has a hardness from 5.5 to 6 on the Mohs scale (Mohs).

Metaphysical & Healing Properties

Sodalite is a powerful tool for insight, intuition, and spiritual growth. It activates the Third Eye and Throat Chakras, facilitating clear communication and enhancing intuitive abilities. Sodalite’s soothing energy promotes emotional balance, mental clarity, and spiritual growth. Additionally, sodalite is believed to aid insomnia, throat complaints, and digestion problems.

Cares

Use warm soapy water and a soft cotton cloth to wipe down Sodalite to remove any traces of body oils, visualizing any negative energies being washed away. Store your jewelry separately in a box or padded bag to prevent damage.
