Properties
Agate is the banded variety of chalcedony which comes in a wide variety of colors. Much like other mineraloids, all agate types form over thousands of years. Agates are primarily formed within volcanic and metamorphic rocks. And color formations and patterns can vary depending on numerous environmental factors. The most common structure of Agate is alternating layers of quartz and chalcedony. Agate has a hardness from 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale (Mohs).
Power
Agate is believed for its ability to aid with grounding. Agate works by centring and stabilising your energy, bringing you an emotional, physical and intellectual balance. Agate is also an excellent stone for those seeking to manifest their dreams and goals. It can help you feel more connected with your inner-strength, power and purpose.
Stone Cares
Use warm soapy water and a soft cotton cloth to wipe down Agate to remove any traces of body oils, visualizing any negative energies being washed away. Avoid using any household chemicals when cleaning agate beads. Store your jewelry separately in a box or padded bag to prevent damage.
